Engine Management & Mud Flaps

Post by zackj »

Hi Guys,
My EML light is coming on quite a bit, Its only coming on for a few seconds then going off.
I have checked out the code and its the MAF sensor (Mass air flow) is this something that doesn't need urgent attention?
I was guessing if the light is on 24/7 its a big problem if its intermittent its not?

Also i was thinking of getting some mud flaps, how easy are they to fit?

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers
Zack

it doesnt cost much mate. go to scrappies and get one for couple pound its better off getting to a point were it just fails all together. no sure what would happen if it get really bad but your better off changin it asap mate. and the mud flaps if there the original gm corsa ones then not hard at all.

It's the small part in the middle the tube from your air box to your engine - Really easy to change, undo a few clips, unplug the wires an attatch new one, job done! :-) If your going to the scrappy then make sure the part looks half decent as it's a really common fault! I went round 5 scrappies in my area and didn't find one corsa where it hadn't already Been pulled out! Ended up getting one off eBay for £20.

Nope, just rake the black plastic peice out, unplug it from the lead and then replace with the new part. I didn't replace any wiring at all and it fixed my problem instantly. Really easy 10 minute job! :-)
