first car project
right so i got my first car, 1.2 16v corsa gls that i managed to get for £500, and most important of all its ARDEN BLUE, its got a fairly decent spec, power steering, electric windows, heated mirrors. ok interior, it was in very nice condition apart from a bit of rust on the lip of the bonnet.
it was of a old couple that they owned from new, so i have to start from scratch on modifing it,
when i first got it
now iv had it for a couple of weeks, its been for its service, and i got to work and fitted a irmy spoiler, debadge grill, removed the wiper and badges off boot, a new backbox and a sunstrip
started to remove the trim but it had faded paint under so its going back on
my new grill
the irmscher spoiler now on, a right pain in the arse drilling the holes. the lights not wired yet
the debadge and dewiper boot, LOOKS NICE
most important of all THE NOISE. i did buy the full system but backbox will do for now
thats it for the time being untill i get paid. i have brought the lowering springs (40mm) but weathers crap and i cant be bothered to fit them, maybe at the weekend. but alloys will be the next on the list. then corsa sport interior. and defo get rid of that rust from the bonnet.
so what do you ppl think so far

Re: first car project
really smart car mate, keep us updated.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: first car project
nah i never had an interior for sale, drilled air boxes are the best way to go for small engines really and a performance pannel filter, as cone air filters aernt very good for them, try pulling the rest of your exhaust system on that should give it more of a rasp.

Re: first car project
well it was the back box and a centre pipe with no silencer, i did fit the centre pipe but it was gona be way to loud, plus to be fair iv got a 18 month old so it wouldnt do her hearing any good lol. so i done the sensible option and put a standard 1 bk on for now. but the back box sounds nice once the engines warmed up, iv decided im gona put the springs on saturday if im not at work and drill the airbox. i will put some more pics up soon now i got it on the road, roll on payday for the alloys lol
cheers for the advice

Very smart mate.
Is it just me though or do the irmy spoilers not look right on the car? Doesnt seem as flush to the body?

Re: first car project
A drilled airbox will make no change in sound on a 1.2 16v apart from when u put throttle dwn it makes air sucking in noise but nothing when driving. i have the same car and it did hee haw to mine
