allreet people, so my 2000 1.2 16v sxi has some majour issues. when sat ideling in nuetrall if i apply any gas the revs drop way below idle and then the car stalls, sometimes i cant get the car moving unless i constantly apply alot of gas and controll it with the clutch. even then it will probablys just cut out when i go into second, the car also just cuts out when coasting to a stop, like when coming up to a round about down shifting to first, then clutch to the floor, bring it to a stop with the brake and it just cuts out. when pulling away from round abouts and junctions even when full gas is applied its very hesitant to move , or go up the rev range, then will sudenly power up and shoot forward, its as if the engine is just constantly choking. these problems dont happen constantly but there getting more and more frequent, wich makes it worse cos the car will be running fine then ill go to pull out and find my self just sat there for a few seconds about to get t boned by a bus.

things ive done so far to try and fix the problem are :

changed the spark plugs

carried out an oil change

changed the air filter

changed the oil filter

im going to have ago at cleaning the egr and ide controll valves using the tuts for this forum

does anybody have any idea what else this could be? any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated (someone was talking about ht leads for the spark plugs or something? ) please any ideas are apreciated, i just want my little nippy 1.2 back :(

Try Replacing the HT Leads It worked for me and lacey_corsa only about £25 for a set and really easy to change

....... 1.2 16v's dont have ht leads there a full coil, and i would reccomend not cleaning it and just fitting another throttle boddy from scrappers
If its not bodged then its not "propper"
