BUT

i found out that all the cars siezed by police go to a local scrappy where they get destroyed, but if the owner wants to can sell parts off, and luckily my friend works for them and his dad and grandad own the place! and said for a fraction of what it would have cost me to get the car back, i can have it back go to the yard and take anything i want bar the shell or engine block :D im so happy its unreal! he said it'll take a few weeks to get processed but when it comes in he will put it to the side out the way, give me a ring and i can go up there and commence the salvage. happy days!

glad your getting the bits back off it mate. how come your not allowed the engine block? can you not take it out and replace it with another engine block and just say it was that one that was in it?

not quite that easy as its the copper took the engine number down when he was checking everything to make sure it wasnt nicked, told me what cari t came out of and when it was scrapped so if it goes back in another car and gets found out, wouldnt be worth risking tbh im pleased enough i can get my exhaust back, full stainless only on the car 2 weeks!

Atleast theres some good news there pal. Just one thing though, im not sure what the police station is like near you, but here, they store all seized cars at a local recovery impound, which is a third party company. If a car is going to get crushed, alot of the lads that work there, get their hands on the best parts. I hope this is not the case near you.

Good luck with it all

i know whatu mean raj, i did question this when i signed it over, and they assured me they never touch them, as they have to go to the scrap yard how they came to thier garage, i said i want to be the one to crush it/see it crushed as i didnt want people taking bits off it lol, just waiting for the phone call off my mate to say its arrived so i can begin the stripping! but for now i brought this off my mate to run around on for a bit :D
