corsa b 1l transponder

Post by greilly »

Hi just joined this forum to get some advice from people who know what there talking about.
I have a Opel corsa b city 1998. It got broke into last night and they try'ed to rob it but for some strange reason they pulled the transponder wires out.
i had a look at it and all the wires are melted as far back as were all the wires meet in the black tape behind the dash Bord

is there any way i can trace them wires to hook them back to the blue connector on the transponder.
all the electrics go on on the dash but the orange engine light flashes.

Is there a way around this can i hook up some wires my self from the ecu to the transponder or is my car recked

thank for your help guys.

Sounds like a trip to the scrappies for a replacement loom might be on the cards!
Would probably be easier than trying to rewire the ecu, transponder and whatever else might be affected, as you said you cannot see what is damaged inside the black binding!!

Thanks for the quick reply yea i tough as much is it hard to take the whole loom out. If i could do that see the whole wires in the black binding and attach some wires to it and tape up i know witch way the wires go into the blue connector on the transponder. all other electrics seem to work ok just so hard to get in at the binding down near the foot well were the wires are melted and fused together have most of the dash taken apart just cant get the dash out its self its in my way lol

Any way thanks for youre reply and help
