OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: 1.4vs1.6
pedro you are correct mate, they did restrict the 1.4 and the 1.6's because they were so powerfull, aparently when they first produced these engines they were producing more power than they're main 'big' engine the 2.0 16v, therefore they installed mild'er cams and longer inlets and smaller inlets and outlets on cylinder head, with a fair amount of work removing all that vauxhall did to make it go slower you can turn the 1.4 and 1.6 16v's into some hellish engines the rally boys like using them because they're smaller then the 2.0's and bit lighter but also make HUGE power for the size of the engine with some work.
like a 1.4 16v with a power box and air filter and fully flowing exhaust system from manifold to back box, shouldnt be far of the same power as a standard 1.6 16v. but with cams and ported and polished head and vernier pulleys and throttle boddies and stand alone engine management i can see why you shouldn't be far of 180+ hp
