Help with Alloys please

Post by Simmo500 »

Hey,

Finally got myself a set of vauxhall rims. They are 5 spoke 14" off of an astra. Just wanted someone to confirm that these will fit my 1.0 12v 98 corsa breeze? Pretty sure they will as the guy I bout them off said they were on one before. (£60 - with 4 nearly new tyres! Bargain!)

Also, without sounding like an idiot... The increase in wheel size won't have an effect on my speedo readings will it ?

Thanks in advance!

Mark.

OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

it matters with bigger wheels and tyres on the spedo but it depends on the sizes

what size was on your car and what you changeing to?

I expect your original wheels are something like 165/70/13.

First of all make sure your new wheels are 4 stud, which they will be on an old astra anyway.

On 14s you should go for lower profile than 70. For example, my wheels are 15s with 50 profile.

I wouldn't go for wider than 195 personally.
