Rear window heating on off switch

Post by Josh-E93 »

To turn the rear window heating on you have to pull out the fan speed control dial.
But mine will not budge at all!
Does this mean that the has not got it n its just got the icon and the strips in the rear window for that sake of it or does it mean its just stuck.
Ive tried yanking it out but its got no movement in it at all yet the other to dials just simply slide on and off.
If its stuck is there anyway of getting behind the dashboard to push it out?

Does the dial actually have the rear heater symbol? Kinda looks like a rectangle with 3 arrows going through it and it's yellow.

Well then there may be an actual problem with the dial itself, I'd prise it off and then have a look to see what may be causing it to stick. Go to this link in another part of the forum and scroll down till you see the part explaining how to remove the dials. Once the dial is removed you can probably see what is wrong it it.

Hope this helps
