hi i have a 1.2 8v corsa first of all its had 2 new trakrod ends recently a rack arm knowing as trak arm a bottom ball joint done and when i go over bumps in the road there is like a knocking coming from what it sounds like the center part of the foot well can anyone help me with this one thanks.

it might be a bush for your bottom arm possibly, this might sound weird but if your car doesnt have an anti roll bar on it then just jack up that corner of the car and take the wheel off and give it a good wobble about, you should be able to see a worn bush, but if you DO have an anti roll bar then you'l have to take both your front wheels of the ground as your anti roll bar will be putting pressure onto your lower wishbone not allowing you to detect the source of the problem :) where as if both wheels are of the ground then the anti roll bar is not under tension allowing you to be able to move the suspension parts hopefully allowing you to detect the problem.

its worth a try anyway.

its also knocking when turning the steering wheel and halfway round when turning the steering wheel it knocks and goes a bit stiff if you move it backwards and forwards slowly could it be the steering rack thats causing the knocking its not the power steering type its just standed if that helps thanks.
