1998 corsa b throttle body

Post by Brown93 »

My little corsa has been on the road for 4 weeks now and is going strong, but i have noticed when i pull up to a junction of just stop the car the revs keep rising. Chances are its a sticky throttle body so am going to clean it up. Just wondering has anybody ever done a throttle body on a 1.2 8v (with coil pack cant think of engine number off the top of me head) just i am going to tackle it sometime this week.

ive got a 1.2 8v aswell mines does that time to time but never really bothered me too much,if i can remember itll be around the back of the intake manifold or near, i honestly cant remember where they are on the 1.2 8v, every pic ive seen has been for a 1.0 or 1.4 upwards. but if you find out where it is post it up buddy, also PRICER on here said a wee while ago that itll be the throttle cable as its a grease type and they seize up or something like that, give him a PM and im sure hell point you in the right direction.

yeah I think avoiding the trade is the best thing to do. Update on this post looked at throttle linkage and all seems ok only thing i can think of is idle control valve. that costs £60, i dont have the money so the car can rev its tits off haha not fixing it
