Wahey!

For the first time in around 3 years, the Release Bearing is now quiet!

The local garage did it lastnight for me, and also did a full flush and renewal of my Gearbox Oil, aswell as setting the pedal to the right position. All good.

Now to crack on with the boring stuff like washing it etc, ready for the Weekend.

Oh, and was looking through my picture folder for it - it's ever so slightly changed since it was bought for my Ex back in 2007!

Slight differences between the daily snotbox and this heap too... Ha.

Minimal faffing done today.

Spare Gearbox sourced now - F17 - should be fine for the larger lump seeing as one was attached to it when it was bought!

Speedo issue wasn't down to a poor connection between the 2 halves in the end - I don't think you should be able to do this to the core of it! :lmao:;

Applied more Stickers that I had sat about - to both sides;

Made a template for a future mod, to see if I can fit it in the area I was thinking of - bit tight! May need to rethink things...

Image

Hopefully will have the Speedo sorted this weekend (will probably just try a cable from a Breakers for now as want to get out in it this weekend!)

Oh, and more Carbon Fibre should be on it's way very soon too... :lmao:

Fixed the Speedo earlier - replacement cable section (after some fun and games trying to explain to the Scrappy guys that a 2-piece cable did exist... :meh: :lol: )

Then, after fitting it, decided to get out and about for a bit. Nice dry afternoon to start off with, then it started to rain, which got heavier as it went on

The track thrashed Toyos weren't too happy with that! Slippery as feck. Don't think it was entirely down to the tyres though...

Got a few pics - annoyed as most of the places I had thought of for taking pics had a few people already there! Need to scout out some new ideas

Might go back out in it tomorrow for more...

Nope

I only do the main shows with VxON (Be rude not to - I'm Club Admin... :lol: )

Not doing PVS either - not a fan of that show AT ALL

Will be at VBOA Billing, and also TV Live though.

I go every year now

It's my favourite show

It's a lot different to the others though, very relaxed and a static show (no track, drag etc) - I use it as an excuse to mong out with some mates for a weekend, see some cars, eat BBQ food and have a mooch about the Autojumble etc

Hopefully the weather is as good as last year (Sun & 30 degrees or so all weekend!)
