Chris's Atlantis Blue

Post by CoRrSa »

Basically i have been signed up to corsa b for ages but never posted so i thought id share my thread :)

A little about me:
Im now 18 and live in Eastbourne! My first car was a 1.0 silver corsa that had been in an accident and i did it up completely on a minimum budget! Scrapyard alloys, chavy 4 inch japstyle back box

Heres how my old car looked

Image

Image

Anyway, i wanted to do a car that i actually plan what i wanted it to look like and after being inspired by naths atlantis blue (Now orange) i was incredibly excited when i won a nice little bargain on ebay!
1999 1.2 16v atlantis blue corsa b
50,000 on the clock which i was really chuffed with!
6 months mot and just ran out of tax!
I won it on ebay for 860 and knocked it down to 825 as there is a few little dinks around the car :/

Anyway heres how it was when i got it back after driving over 4 hours to Leicester to get it!

Image

Image

Then took off rubstrips and debadged!!

Image
Image

Then i bought some cav slabs and rubbed them down. Pretty good condition but with these awful perished giant tractor tyres on them!

Image
Image

Primering...

Image
Image

Couldnt afford tyres and had to do other things at college so the car stayed standard for like a month :/

Heres so pictures with my friends current project (Sean :))

Image
Image
Image

Then bought some 60mm jamex springs off here brand new £40 posted!!

Image

First mod!! lol as i was waiting for my jamex shocks which i bought of ecclesturbo on here for £80 posted (cheers mate) i decided to fit these astra mk4 side repeaters! :P

Image
Image

Then i got to finally spray my slabs :D

Image
Image
Image

Then my friend bought me a badgeless grill for my 18th :) so i fitted that

Image

I ordered 4x brand new kuhmos off camskill for 160 quid posted! i could of got nankangs for like 120 but heard so many good reviews on kuhmo for what they are so i decided i would lower the car!
Heres how it sat on my steelies! Scraped on EVERYTHING!!

Image
Image
Image

Got my tyres fitted and put them on and gave it a wash as i hadnt washed it since i bought it! :o
(Heres my pro photography skills ;) )

Image
Image

Then had only 20 minutes to back to black before i had to go to work!
So i did the rear first

Image

Then took a quick snap at work :P

Image

Then got home and did the front but forgot to close bonnet properly after doing the front bumper

Image
Image
Image

Quick wash

BIG UPDATE:
Well kind of a last minute decision this morning! I went to college with no intent to spray my roof and i come home from college with a black roof! Haha i got talking with one of my lecturers about paint and i always fancied spraying my roof but i was always like i might do it before pvs! But today i felt it had to be done :)
Also got some black alloy caps off of Adam-d along with some alloy bolts and i personally think it completes a clean look on my slabs :)
So all in all really chuffed with today!
Still need to get depos next week, sportex exhaust in the next couple of weeks, gsi spoiler, rear mudflaps, 80mm rear springs, few niggly bits like chrome interior handles!

Few little bits of dust but i am polishing that up next week!

Mini photoshoot - Went out with my friend today and took a few photos! :)

Took out all my rooflining and pilars today and sprayed it! Was really fiddley but im really happy with it :)

Image
Image
Image

Well, ive had a hole in my front light since i bought the car and as my car's mot was up shortly it was a great excuse do get the depos ticked off the sheet! Managed to get my mot booked in today and it passed with no advisories :D although i think my rear plate was very close! And as my depos were dilvered when no one was in i had to swap my light with my good friend "Sean" to get it throught :) When i got back i got a call from the post office saying i can come and pick my parcel up so i ran down as fast as i could :)

*Update* Corsa c skirts

My corsa c skirts came today! i just went outside and lined them up with my car to get a rough idea what they should look like and i think they look beast :)

Hopefully cutting them down and fitting them next wednesday :)

Copied from corsasport :)
Also i just bought some cesaros so should be spraying them either gloss black, anthractie or keeping them silver im not too sure yet!

Thanks for looking, comments welcome! :)
