OBD 2 Compatible ?

Post by geoff »

Hi all
My 3cyl (X10XE engine) has thrown up the enginne management light and had started to run rough.
I connected my diagnostic "maxscan" but it tells me there is a linking error and asks me to check if the car is OBD 2 compatible.
Can anyone tell me if it is ?
regards

thanks for the link to the ebay thing - however it is not compatibility of the connectors with which I have a problem - that all works fine, it is the device telling me of a "linking error" and suggests that I check if the car is OBD2 compatible.
Does anyone know?

yeah, corsa b's are not obd2 compatible. you need a op-com code reader i think, which runs of laptop, type op-com in ebay and have a search

I bought one of these from ebay. It is a CD with connector to the car and a usb for the computer.
However I am having problems getting the software to run. Has anyone had any actual experience doing this they could share with me,
