any help is welcom im swaping my (X12SZ) 1.2 8v enging out for a more powerfull c14se 1.4 8v eninge wich i have rebuilt with new shell ends, crank seals ,piston rings and oil seals and a kent fast rode cam hoping for bout 100+ bhp from but will turbo once parts and money are avalabel,

i have the loom and ecu for the c14se just wondering if i will come acrose eney problems with the swap as this is my first corsa but not my last

do you have the immob chip for the ecu?

other that that it should drop right in

nope, with it being still an 8v engine its a straight swap, and like adam-D said have you got the imobiliser chip thats in the key? but apart from that its a straight swap mate.

or you could get a red top and give the c14se to me? lol as far as i have gathered on here, that engine drops straight in. then after swapping engines over, swap the loom and ecu over.

no i havent got an imobiliser chip :S but i havre the compleat loom and ecu from the car i puled the c14se engine from. n not to shure if my car or the car i pulled from had an imobaliser in it :s lol bit of a novice with this as my first corsa project

and wont my key still work as im still using the same key and ignition barrel ?

but if not shure i can contackt the person i got the engine fro n just get them to send it out or if not can i get one from a vauxhaul dealership ?

any one know how much it is to unlock a ecu as i do not have the chip or can i get one fro my ecu through the delaship
