air pipe help

Post by jayybull »

i have a redtop coilpack conversion in my car. the MAF sensor is diff from my other mates as it has a plug that attaches to the air flow pipe between the air filter and MAF sensor what car could i get a replacement pipe from is it a calibra? it also has a sort of cylinder shape coming off the pipe underneath the piping, i think i need to replace tis as there is a slit cut from the alternator top wheel so its getting more air than it should from time to time

hay, your close to me lol. get the engine code and year of vehicle its from, this can help you find your engine online and get specs e.t.c. if you know what car the engine came from and the engine code you should find a replacement part online. or take it to a garage and they could do it, or even just order the part for you. think theres a few garages opposite the skoda dealer. meh hope this helps :)

so ive had a proper look at the car it and it looks to me that this sensor maybe a air heat sensor or some sort, as its right at the begining of the air intake pipe which the cone filter connects to, so if i replaced it with a conversion silicone pipe could i get away with not having it install and just tuck it away, or does anyone know if they make a air induction pipe with a sensor switch inside it for the corsa b conversions?

reason i ask is as i have no idea what car or age this engine come from as it was already in the car its self.
