Engine Management Light
Hi, i have a corsa 1.0l and yesterday when i was driving it the engine management light came up on the dash but there are no noticeable problems with the car. Any suggestions to what the problem is would be appreciated, thanks

if you go to a garage they can plug it in for about £35 and they can clear any problems if there is any. hope this helps

Engine Management Light
Could be the egr? It could trigger the eml and not affect how the car drives, common fault on the 1.0 12v and 1.2 16v's

Re: Engine Management Light
The MAF Sensor can often get a little dirty, IIRC you have hot-wire systems, (provided yours is a modern Corsa ) and this involves a platinum wire with the air flowing passed it. They can often get cacked up a bit and mess up the signal and then clear themselves up after a few start-ups

Re: Engine Management Light
Changing the exhaust should have nowt to do with the eml! Not unless the front pipe has been changed and the lambda sensor has not been fitted or has been damaged during the exhaust replacement.RobHoppo wrote:One of my mates is a mechanic and he said it could be because i've just had the exhaust replaced. mines an s reg too but only got 34,000 miles on it haha
