Re: lil hooligan
you aint hanging about mate, got a new box sorted yet?
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: lil hooligan
if i had got a gearbox at pvs, it would be on by now.
waiting for the courier to drop it by. just hope it fits. gone for the f16 with short ratios so it accellerates a lil bit quicker

Re: lil hooligan
gearbox arrived.
looked like its been stood for years... outside... in a field....
anyway. fitted it after many hours of swearing on my own.
but it was jammed in gear
so.. took my broken gearbox and removed the selector tower off and as it had no problem selecting gears looked how it was setup
then removed the new box.. problem it was in gear but the selector wasnt.
so reset that
you can see 3 little tabs at the top. they are the selectors. one was out of line.
so sorted that. then it would go into gear. but not with the engine running, so after giving up. then being stubborn i got it selecting gears but reverse was iffy.
so spent a hour playing with linkage this morning
got all gears fine., bar 5th is a little tight.
it could do with more adjustment but stuff it, its working
also had a problem with the new short shaft being corroded,. and sticking on the hub. so had to free all that off.
then found a water leak, changed a hose,.. i think its cured. oil leak is still present.
