Oil change?

Hi,

I just want to check how often i should get my oil changed?

Haynes Manual says every 5,000 or 6 months.

Is this a fair time or can you leave it al lot longer?

I generally do city driving

Wanted to keep my timing chain in as good condition as i can thought keeping up the short oil changes might help it
