Power Steering cut out

Post by LD560 »

Hey all new to this forum have searched through it but unable to find my problem so here goes

Basically whilst driving the car will suddenly lose all revs the engine managment light, battery light and oil light will come on and the power steering
cuts out. If i then turn the engine off it stutters trying to start like the batterys dead. (The battery isnt dead though have checked). After leaving it for a while it will eventually start again no problem. Also starting the car can be an issue even if the above problem dosent happen. It just spluters as if the battery has died.

The problem is intermintent. The car has just recently had a service as I thought it could be that but obviously not.

So any suggestions??

Thanks for any help you can provide :)

Sounds like an engine management problem. You should go to diagnostics and they will tell you if there is something wrong with ECU. It's not the power steering that cuts off it's the engine that cuts off.
Don’t try harder than you can!
