wheel bearing washer corsa b

hi all
is there a right way of fitting the washer on the bearing before the castle nut? its on a corsa b rear wheel bearing, i ask because the washer is flat one side but slightly dished outwards on the other side, i would assume the flat side would run on the bearing but need to be sure
