how much would my car be worth?

i am thinking about selling my car but dunno how much it is worth so could sum one help me

the car is a 1.0 corsa b in atlantis blue
has 7 month MOT & 3 month TAX
no moddifications
has had new fan belt, bearings in rear wheels, new exhaust 10 month ago,new ish coil pack, new ish airflow meter,new oil sump gasket

but bad points is there is low compression in cylinder 1 &2

so how much could i get for the car

really it has 92000 miles on clock nd little rust on front of bonnet and there is little compression in 2 cylinders

True that may mean head gasket is on way out so probs abit less, most have that rust on the bonnet. Mine is a 1999 and has done 118,000ish so yours is not bad lol.

a have been told by a garage its just the piston rings but a dunno lol well tyhe miles go up farley quick on my car as i use it for work

Nip down the head bolts a touch, bung in some compression booster and see if that helps. A car is worth what someone is willing to pay, the 'black book' is a joke. put in the local adds plus £200 what you want and 'haggle' down to your price.

if no mods and good mileage but head gasket is away would say lucky to get 400 tbh with you mate, people wont pay silly money for a corsa with a busted head gasket. i sold my corsa 1.2 in white for 580 what was in just above average condition. so you could either fix the car and sell it for around 600 - 700 or just leave it and lose money.

well i paid 420 for it but it needed a new exhaust, handbrake , rear bearings but only changed one lol, coil pack, airflow meter, oil sump gasket , front discs so the car owes me quite a bit of money lol i wanna fix it but if i put it in the garage to get the piston rings changed then they could find more problems lol

if they had to change piston ring then they would have to replace all the gaskets at the same time, are you sure its a piston ring? not just head gasket? is it got blue or white smoke coming from exhaust?

yeah there is sum smoke now and then i have also had a compression test done and there is very little compression in cylinder 1 & 2 and it was the garage that said it was the piston rings

do you know what colour of smoke? if its blue its oil thats mean piston rings, valve stem oil seals etc, if its white means head gasket its when water gets into the cylinders. another way to check is to get a garage to do a sniff test its where they put some anti freeze from your car into a massive syneringe kinda thing and it tells them if there is any petrol or carbons etc in with the water. take it round to a couple garages to get there opionions instead of getting one persons view they might be taking you for a ride.

well i would say it was summit to do with piston rings as i have to top up with oil a couple times a week
