audio troubles....

right, last week my subs were going on and off like there was a loose wire, they have now gone completely off, ive checked all the wires and they are all tight, the only wire i can see that is out is a green and grey one in the back of the cd player but i dont know if that was already like that? help please

sure its not a dodgy fuse going to the amp?

but if it was a fuse it wouldnt go on and off over bumps and that would it?

What I wud do is take everything out then all back in again if it still does it try a different amp
If it jus goes off over bumps is ur headunit shockproof?

does your radio go off over bumps? as i had that happen to my old corsa, and it ended up being the wire that went to the switched live, so i wired it up the other way behind the radio so i had to turn it on and off via the button on the radio itself and it was fine then.

try the fuse in the amp make sure its in there tight i had the same thing with mine and that was what fixed it.

I suggest you replace your old wires with new ones, could be a breakage in one of the wires, thats y it intermitent and comes on when gone over bumps. If ws the fuse not work at all as they would be no connection.

cheers for the ideas guys, sometimes it wasnt just bumps though it was going around corners that didnt even lean the car? i dont really want to be pulling it all apart if possible :/
