For a While Iv Had a Knocking Sound Coming From The Engine, There There As Soon As I Turn The Car on To When I turn It Off! And When I Rev The Engine The Noise Goes Faster With The Revs!

Just Wondering If Anyone Knows Any Common Faults ! Its a '97 1.2 8v

Ok ok so I know that was very brief!

I just had a look at everything! And to my surprise ....

On my cam on pot 3 one of the cam lopes has totally rounded!!

VERY strange!! :/ why just one lobe?

Anyone know what could of caused this?

Also on the same lobe the rocker thing it uses to push the valve down is rattling!

Hence the knocking

poo cam shaft that someone put in from scrappers as a replacement?
or something got in your engine from where the oil cap is

Don't know, never heard of anything like that before aha
