hello everyone,
ive recentley bought a 1ltr corsa and its got a ticking sound, ive searched and read alot of posts it could be the hydrolic lifters or timing chain, i tried the wynns hydrolic lifter treatment but not made any difference seems to gone louder so it must be the timing chain,
what i want to know is could i get away with just changin the tensioner coz cant rally afford full kit plus the labour, only bought car for cheap insurance etc.
any help will be apreciated thank you

Wynns hydraulic treatment is sh!te, I had a rattle from a 1.2l corsa and put some in to stop it.
Did absolutely nothing, I rebuilt the cylinder head later on and needed two pairs of mole grips to get them to move! Seized solid
I wouldn't rule it out just yet
