Hi,
I have a 54 plate Corse SXi. The other day I went to turn the ignition on. When I turn the car on nothing happened. Usually when you turn the key to position II the electrics and engine lights and various things switch on but nothing happened. The radio still worked and so did the key fob when I tried to lock and unlock the car. I thought it might be an immobiliser problem. I opened the bonnet and started to push the fuses to see if one of them had come lose. This seemed to fix the problem. Again driving home the car cut out on me again, the radio still worked and the hazards but the engine had cut out. Once stopped I had the same problem. The radio and things worked but it would not switch on. Again I pushed the fuses and relays and the car started. Does anyone know which fuses or relays may cause this problem?
Thanks
Matt
p.s Battery is working and so are all electrics
Corsa cuts out or won't turn over at start.

Never heard of this problem before, but if pushing in the fuses starts the car then you've answered your own question really. Have you tried pulling the fusebox out and taking a look at the wiring behind it, could be a loose connection, or perhaps the fusebox is loose, try tightening it. Unless anyone else has any other ideas thats what id try first. Jamie.

maybe try going on corsa c forum as this is for corsa b's - just cause there's alot more people on there and the chances are one of them will have had the same problem.

this has just happened to me on my corsa B just changed spark plugs , distributor cap and leads and then noticed that the automatic choke vacuum hose wasn't connected, have been told by a mechanic that this could be the problem, will try and reconnect it tomorrow to see if he's right hopes this helps anyone with the same problem.
