Hi, im in need of a new ecu as i was having problems with my car, got it put on a diagnostics machine and it come up with quad driver module? found out it is a fault with the ecu and basically you need to replace the ecu, im thinking of going to the scrapyard to get one i no the codes need to marry up but i was wondering if i need anything else with the ecu or can i just get a new one and plug it straight it? thank paul I have a corsa b 1.2 8v

Can I just ask did you put it on your own diognpstic or one at a garage?

At a garage,i got a new ecu today fitted it and now it doesnt start at all? so i put my old one in and now it starts but you go to accelerate and nothing happens, basically cuts out n then kicks in? :meh: soooooooo annoying

what age is the car? if you check behind the plastics around the steering column is there a ring with a plug going into it around the key barrel? if so then you need to take the ecu, that ring, and a key with the chip in it ALL FROM THE SAME VEHICLE if any one of these parts is not from the same car then it will not work as the imobiliser cuts the engine completely. there is no way to bypass it without having all those parts in the first place.
