help me:)
hi im new to this and the corsa scene im just wondering what i can add to my B to get a little more performance out my 1ltr ive not long been 17 and i dont want to make my insurance look like my phone number. It was totaly standard when i bought it apart from a dodgey cd player so soon as it was home i was on the hunt for cheap alloys and i found some but tyres were just s**t but i got some vectra gsi wheels 4 nearly new tyres but the alloys are purple need to save up as im not making a great wage but i keep my eye out for the cheap modifications like a gsi wraparond spoiler for a 10a so any advice is good advice thanks will post pics as soon as thanks

Re: help me:)
Quite simply u can't get much better performance from your small engined corsa, not designed for it, could drill your aur box to get more air in suppose, best thing to do is just wait until u can get a better corsa with bigger engine and more power, also don't add weight make you even slower lol.

help me:)
Like jacob said not much really. I'd give her good service, clean, lose weight were ever pissible. Sound deadening is heavy and could lose a few kg but can u live with more road noice? Take out spare wheel and replace with a flat mate can lol.. Little things like this..
Also i wouldnt drill holes in the box, u'll suck in hot air and nooooo dont want that, vauxhall havent spent ££££ on designing a car to be able to put holes in with a black and decker to make it better... K&N panel filter, drops strait in an guarentees performance upgrade. The best possible air flow is what vauxhall put in car so i wouldnt drill or put on cone filters.. Just makes them
Sound noisier and faster lol
Just my opinion

Re: help me:)
ive got a 1.0 and as the other guys said, its not really the right engine for it. its a good little engine for your first year of driving, get yourself a year of no claims and get a 1.4 or 1.6. your best bet is to save weight where you can and thats about it. im now less than a month away from my years no claims so im now looking for a new car, im debating either a 1.6 corsa or a 1.5 civic and then crack on with making it faster

CorsaB1993, mate im 22 with a years no clames and hold a liscence of 3 years(no crashes just never had a car long enough to complete insurance). Anyway mate dont think 1 year no clames will make much difference lol a 1.4 for me is £1900 plus £200 deposit, 1 year will not affect u much unles u live in a low crime area, i dont im in a high crime area.. Just thought id warn ya before you get disheartened

Re: help me:)
i live out in the countryside of norfolk pretty dull around here so its a low crime area. one of my best mates who is also 18 has 1 years no claims with his old 1.1 106, hes now got a honda accord 1.8 v-tec s-type insured for £2000. so i 1.6 civic shouldnt be too bad, plus ive got a fairly well paid job so i should be okay for it

aint you a jammy sod lol i live in birmingham, stechford area to pin point closer to home and were high risk of drink drivers, no insurance, no tax, crash rates ect ect.. to make it worse i live 2 minutes from alum rock and im not being racist because that aint me but its an asian comunity and its a real risk area. they had a program about deliberatly crashing to make money and that was one of the areas, so for me insurance companies like to bend me over and give me a dam good roggering then just to rub salt in the wound they take money too

i was told with one insurance company that you need 5 years for it to start making a difference.neil22 wrote:CorsaB1993, mate im 22 with a years no clames and hold a liscence of 3 years(no crashes just never had a car long enough to complete insurance).
