air intake scoop

Post by 4992jk1 »

has anyone here ever fitted any kind of air intake scoop? either a bonnet scoop or one that goes through the grill? if so what did it do for your engine? did you notice any increase in power/noise/top speed?

thinking about fitting a stealthy scoop in the lower grill to improve the quality of air to my engine (gets a fair amount of warm air atm) and was just wondering if anyone had any feedback on whether its likely to be worthwhile, not after stupid amounts of power or anything, but it would be nice to have that little bit more overtaking power....

i really dont want it to be noisy as i like my driving nice and quiet :P

also if anyone has done this, did you notice any change in fuel economy? as with the amount of miles i do i dont want it to lose fuel efficiency, i know i am asking a lot, but just curious what this mod has done for other people

probably best to just leave it as it is. if you put it around the grill area you'd get all sorts of crap going onto the radiator, escpeically in the autumn, leaves would be a bit of a problem :P
