i have brought a 16v odear ha

Post by nath2905 »

right i brought a 16v today,
started up mint, ticked over mint, drove good,
then it broke down on way home, it cut out, left it 5 then it started and drove again, so changed the crank shaft sensor already, and blanked EGR, thats has sorted the cutting out, it seems to have done,
but now it will jerk, like no power, then eml will come on, so i took foot off accelerater and it goes off, and carries on fine,
also the temp gauge goes to 90 nearly as soon as you turn it on, then goes back down and read's it properly

:meh:

any idea's? its got be a sensor of some sort?

1.2 16v? wa gona suggest the paper clip test but wont work :/
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Tried plugging it in to a laptop somewhere and having fault codes erased?? Recently ive had head gasket replaced cos I went to start it one morning and it was just turning over really fast. Lost all my compression and wouldnt start. Changed timing chain kit and aux belt while it was in bits. If you have changed everything mechanical its electrical. If you have changed everything electrical its mechanical. I read your thread this morning and to have this many problems on so little miles weird. Mine has had 2 problems from when I bought it at 52000 miles to now at 84000. Its had a airflow meter and a head gasket.

Nath, dono if this helps or if you already know, but you should just need to replace the sensor that fits into the air flow pipe, instead of buying pipe and all.
i have the old air flow sensor that the mechanic took out. he said the filiment was done (appernelty ... :meh: )

This is my old one...
cost me £70 at the time. you might be able to find one cheaper online.
