Is a 2l ecotec engine better than a redtop and can you turbo them?

Re: 2L engine advice
i wouldnt say its better no, they are completly different, the redtop has more power but the ecotec has a lot more torque
yes you can turbo one as the z20let/z20lel/z20leh/ all use the same block, the z20leh (astra VXR) engine is the same block aswell but uses under piston squirters for cooling
you would need pistons from either a z20let or c20let and rods, double headgasket or cometic headgasket, drill the blank on the front near the sump for the oil feed for the turbo, and make up a return on the sump for a return, z20let engine management or aftermarket management, uprated injectors, list goes on, you could do it for under a grand but you might aswell fork out for a complete z20let setup
