Black Corsa Sport 1.6 16v
Hello everyone and welcome to my thread,
Ill introduce myself first, my names Harley and from Milton Keynes this is my second corsa I did have a star silver 1.4 sport before but it decided it didn’t wanna play anymore and head gasket went, was going to get it fixed but this came up and couldn’t resist
1997 Corsa Sport 1.6 16v had 96,000 miles on when I got her but did have 12months tax and MOT so handed over £800 and took her home.
Sorry about the crap picture, it’s the only one I have from the day I picked her up
So far ive only done a few things to the car
Front coilovers
110mm rear springs
Sportex exhaust system
De-cat
15” Ronal Turbo wheels
Ill let the pictures do the talking
Shortly after getting the car home I was straight on the internet and ordered my coilovers
I don’t have any pictures of the 110mm rear springs... not that there would be much point as they only have 2 coils on them. Soon as they both turned up I got them fitted, didn’t bother measuring how low they went I just wound them all the way down and stuck them straight on, went and got my tracking done and got a quick snap
Decided it was exhaust time, I went for a sportex race system with 3” tailpipe
Took the car into work to get the exhaust fitted and discovered a slight problem…. I cant actually get my car onto a ramp…
So I improvised…
Got it fitted in no time, got the car home gave it a quick clean and decided it was time to loose the badges
A quick picture of the rear
The car stayed like this for some time until my mate decided he was selling his wheels, I was always bugging him to let me have them so when they came up for sale I had to have them
2 of the tyres were almost bald so got them replaced and gave the car a good clean, polish and wax
Few pictures,
Got Stretch? Lol
Ignore the bumper hanging down, found out the hard way that the cars to low to go over speed bumps, ripped the bumper off and broke the clips on the n/s so its currently held on with cable ties
Before long id managed to put a hole in my cat from where it scrapes along the floor, so the was only one solution for this…
De-cat
didn’t expect it to make much difference performance wise but tbh the car does feel a lot smoother through the revs, people ive spoken to say after fitting a decat they end up with flat spots but I have none of this although on the down side it’s a lot louder which doesn’t impress the neighbours
One thing that has always annoyed me about the car has been the state of the plastic arches etc, so had a go at sorting them out excuse the masking tape had just polished the car and didn’t want to get back to black everywhere lol
Before
Standard back box was on as I took the other one of to polish it up cause it was filthy
And after,
To be honest once it had dried it hadn’t made much difference was slightly darker but could still tell that they had faded so think im going to have to paint them all at some point.
After I done the plastics me and my brother went and go a few pictures of our cars together
that’s about as far as the cars got at the moment ive got many plans for it but wont reveal them as ill properly change my mind about some things, but ill keep you all up dated
Comments and suggestions welcome
Thanks for looking,
Harley

Cheers bud, Just want to tidy it up a bit, sort out all the small things that bug me
The wheels are off being referbed as we speak hopefully they should be back soon
Going to paint all the plastics and sort out a new front bumper then I'll go from there

Alright mate, first off loving the car, but 2 questions, one where did you get the exhaust system from as it looks awesome and two what paint would you use to do the bumper ?

*Update* ish
Took a trip down to vauxhall today to get a a couple of bits
inlet manifold gasket and crankshaft oil seal:
also got 2 free part worn tyres for the ronals of a friend
cars currently looking like this,
running on the sport wheels atm as the ronals are off being refurbed
getting them powder coated instead of having them diamond cut as its a bit different
sorry about crap pictures was using phone
