Re: 1.0 12v Exhaust
got all the original air box back in with the k&n filter and it only took about 15 minutes to get back in. it still sounds awesome and i believe its improved the mpg as well. and ragarding the exhaust.....ive got a straight through 3.5 and i dont think id want to have it any bigger. its VERY loud and any bigger i think it would look a bit silly. you would be going into impreza territory with a 4 ich tip

nope, i just left it. its probably better for the engine just to put the filter in and leave the box as is

Yea was looking at that one, but thats induction kit. you were saying the K&N standard panel filter works better tho right ? rectangle in shape fits the standard air box ?CorsaB1993 wrote:i didnt have a great deal of money at the time so i went for a cheap one off ebay. i will send you a link. they best thing was the colour, as i have a red car it was nice to lift up the bonnet and its got a nice chrome red filter the link is a blue one

yeah the panel filter is probably better for the engine if its a small one, if you have a 1.4+ an induction kit would probably improve performance more. its good for mine because its only a 1.0 12v. they are on ebay for around £30

Re: 1.0 12v Exhaust
Bit of bad news I wrote my car off not long ago
But on the bright side i've now got a 1.0 3 door corsa B instead of 5 door
I'm staying faithful
And i'm taking in all the advice i'm getting a 3' back box and a pannel filter straight away
thats the right thing to do right?

Re: 1.0 12v Exhaust
sorry to hear about your old car :/ glad your sticking with a corsa though
yeah a panel filter would be best for a 1.0 as cone filters would probably suck in too much air.
as for the back box, depending on money, id go with a 3' Sportex one for performance, i think they are around £90 on ebay.
The one i got was only £40ish and it just makes it really loud, doesnt made it any quicker imo. If you want one that sounds good go with one like mine, its a 3.5' straight through, so it has no baffles in the backbox.
