best thing for the engine itself is something called Gunk. My dad had some laying around and it worked a treat! as for the muddy bits, a bit of effort and cleaning and she'll be looking great!

Heres a picture of how my bay turned out after about an hour of cleaning....

took off my side strips today, and underneath was abit of a state :/ theyve been glued on with super glue or somthing, its dead crusty and hard and fulls the paint off when tried taking it off, and took a few pictures of all the rust damage i have. not sure really what to do, i need the kit spraying obv the boot bumpers and the doors will depending on the damage so looks like ill have to save for a respray in the meen time i can get smoothing out and filling in the dents. so will be driving around in a smoothed out mix match of different colours for a while i think ;) which meen the gsi kit can go on at the weekend hopefully (: unless anyone has any better ideas on how to go about it ?

Is it actually rotten or is it just surface rust? If its just surface just clean it all of and paint it black with some hammerite or something,

the left side is starting to go, and the right side is just surface. im just gonner rub it all down, paint it, and when mot comes up at the end of the year do all the welding at once.
