was hard to find the older ones.
what i can do tho is get all the alloys fixed up. And becuase the center cap pops out, if i ever decided to change them il be able to swap them easy.
I seen the older style ones on ebay but they cost something like £10 for 1 and didnt wana be out a fourtune on them.

if you spot some mint ones let me know.

There are loads of makes of the headlights like mine where Valeo, but you can get the normal Depos (look like standards) and you can get the smoked depos that are black on the inside :)

Ahh ok, il keep a look out for something nice. Dont really like my ones with the lines in the glass id rather have clear or light smoke clear, as id think they give out better light.

Alloy wheel Refurb

This evening i got my alloys out of the shed where they have stayed over winter since around November time.
3 tyres have good thread and all tyres had the valves fixed / mended well before October.
1 tyre is flat ( my worst tyre ) the rubber is very weathered and cracked looking and not much thread so i know it needed replaced badley.

Took photos of any Marks or scratches etc ...

Not sure if the paint has faded off or scraped off here. Or if this is filler and the paint hasnt bonded to it ???

Some deeper Chips & Paint Flake

Strange Fungus / Battery Corrosion effect ??!!
I dont know if this was caused by poor filler job, or if the paint has flaked up but i kinda tapped it and it almost sounded soft.
i scraped it back a bit untill it got to metal.

All tucked in for the night, ready to be handed over to my mate for Refurb in the morning.

Not sure at the moment, its gona need primer, paint and clear coat. Along with filler for the deeper scrapes probably.
Ive left them in the capable hands of my good mate to do. (he's prob sold them by now)

All primed up ready for "vauxhall star silver", love how smooth they turned out.

yea he sands them down with wet n dry etc does a good job on them too.
he was saying the primer he got has some filler mixed into the spray so it smooths out the rough sand down, to give an overall smoother finish. and the clear coat hes using is em, "2000k or 2k" or something like that, basicaly its a tougher type of clear coat, more resistant to the elements
