hey mate, just noticed you got vented discs, just wondering will they fit straight on as is? just been googling for new disks etc. and been reading up things advising to get solid so assumed they wouldnt fit as they'd be too wide? can you enlighten me?

btw loving those alloys big time :) what are they off??

Alloys are stock Pinty, i bought the set for £80 that worked out at £20 per alloy they came with ok tyres but i had to replace the front 2 and replace valves on the back 2. One of the back ones also needs replaced. Then now that they have been refurbed il put them back on the car. They are 15" i think bit bigger than my steel wheels. so really makes the car look better. Also going to get the hidden weights to balance them or the older style ones that clip onto the back of the wheel.

As for the discs, i got them from Autovaux, so they should be standard size, do be honest i didnt think about it untill i opened the box and seen them. I do think they are standard tho.

alloys are of a tigra  ohh and if you have solid discs now then dont think these will fit. would need the brake calipers to fit vented discs

90% sure yeah.. there alot wider than solids so wont fit in calipers with new pads. but you can go scrappy or ebay and get calipers to suit vented discs cheaply..
what size discs are they?

235mm. what make etc do the Calipers need to be if i go searching on ebay etc.

Edit * - AGrrr to save the hassel of it all i think this time around il try and send these Discs back to Autovaux for exchange for the Solids. I just thought the vented would have been a nice upgrade but its costly and right now i dont want to fork out the extra cash involved in replacing the Calipers. for a 1.2 16v Standard Solid discs with fresh set for front and back brakes should be more than enough for good stopping power.

ahhhhh i seemed to have been the bringer of bad news. . . . sorry about that  hope they do take them back for you without any hassle anywhooo

i wanted to get some vented and maybe drilled discs for mine too but seems like a no no for me too now :meh: my solids discs dont need changing yet just planned an upgrade lol

thats good news, might take a trip to the local scrappy then cause i think there reallllly nice, ive got the standard 14 inch alloys, not sure if there originally off the corsa but there five spokes

anyway even though i dont comment all the time im liking the project so far :) the car looks great and provides me with looootsss of info lol
