i wanted to get some vented and maybe drilled discs for mine too but seems like a no no for me too now :meh: my solids discs dont need changing yet just planned an upgrade lol

thats good news, might take a trip to the local scrappy then cause i think there reallllly nice, ive got the standard 14 inch alloys, not sure if there originally off the corsa but there five spokes

anyway even though i dont comment all the time im liking the project so far :) the car looks great and provides me with looootsss of info lol
Really enjoy the comments folks, and glad the project ive been doing helps others out too. Tomorrow i plan to buy a new tyre for the alloy, its a 195/50 r15 and gona cost £40. Then need to get them balanced too. Then il take some screens of them on the car.

should buy these, astra gte 2L brakes. much bigger discs and wider than the vented discs you have now so will be mint for stopping and they usally go for around £30-£50

Bit broke now after forking out £60 for the new wheel.
£40 new wheel + £20 (£5 per wheel) for balance and weights, the weights are the ones that fit on the back of the rim not the face.

Then the discs are gona need to be sent back and proper ones sent out. when i get paid at end of month that can go towards the head skim and engine paint and Arden blue for the plastic grey trim, i want to colour code it and remove the door bump strip. So basically .. No

Nothing planed until April. then il have plenty to show ;)

My mate found this in a scrap yard, he said it was attached to a corsa.

Just wanted everyones feedback on it to see what they make of it. As you can see they are vented discs, they dont look huge, more like 235mm which is same as my vented ones. Also look at that caliper, its quite rusted up and theres not one bita paint on it, is it the original caliper, sugesting the vented disc will fit ok. ???

i dont wana send back my vented ones untill i figure out whats best to do, really need some feeb back on this folks.

Rust don't matter mate as long as they work and are not leaking.

Sorry i dont intend to take these ones from the picture above. what i ment was this car has vented discs on a corsa, using it as a reference to see if my vented discs will fit on my corsa without replacing the calipers.

You will need to change the callipers as the vented discs are thicker than the normal solid discs

no thats not necessarily true, corsa 1.4's came with vented discs. the chances are yes they will fit, why dont you just try it and find out, its not hard to swap really. or get on ebay and order a set of 2.0 16v calipers and new discs, and send yours back.

Thanks for the feedback and advice.

Think the best way to find out would be to try and fit the vented discs i have. if they dont fit, il send them back to Autovuax for Solid Discs. Im on tight budget now and dont wana be out the extra money fitting new 2.0 Calipers and Discs. That would be something i could do at a later stage when im a bit more Flush.

got a funny feeling the 1.0l and 1.2s are solid discs and 1.4-1.6 are vented dunno how true this is but it would kinda make sense :meh:

This is my current solid disc and caliper set up, i dont think its gona fit ( thats the good think about alloys, you can clearly look through the gaps to see the disc, cant do that with the steel wheels on :D
Oh and also need to add that, the guy used the Stick on balance weights not the clip on ones :(
