yea i think he said something like that. Clip on ones on the inside of the wheel ( Section you cant see) with some stuck onto the rim as well.
none on the face ( Side you CAN see )

What you make of my Calipers tho, im doubtful they will take the vented discs.

Yea im just home and i messured the cross section of the disc in relation to this gap in the image below,

Vented disc - 2 cm across
solids disc - 1.5 cm across

and you can see in the pic below theres not much gapage to fit a 2cm disc comfortable :(
At least i have all my mesurements and questions answerd now !

Thanks the help folks.

In the post above i talked about "looking at the pic below" i forgot to add the picutre from the previous page which shows my rusty brake disc and caliper.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went out to the car to take the diameter measurement of the solids just to make 100% sure before i emailed autovuax. I Didnt want to take the alloy off becuase,

1. Its cold
2. its dark
3. didnt wana risk scraping them
4. Cant have been botherd !

Done my best with a bita of string and a mesureing tape but wasnt geting a true reading so wasnt sure if they were 235mm or 256mm
so Opened up my trusty digital copy of the Haynes Manual on my computer. ive highlighted my Solid discs in yellow. and i can even confirm that the vented ones were 20mm across which is what they are !! amazing

I will be able to sleep easy tonight :)

Vented Discs all boxed up again ready to be sent back in the post 2mora for exchange for the standard Solid discs.

i also need to bring a hax saw to my driver side aero wiper blade its 20" and its about 1cm too big so it sometimes clips the passenger wiper. to fix it ive moved it up a bit, but in dry condtions the wiper sticks up the windscreen a bit, or in heavy rain the wiper arm flicks up past the driver side window towards / over the door piller. il do a hax saw mod and fix the issure over the weekend.

They should fit no problem, look at the measurements of them, you can see they match with my Haynes manual guide above.
im gona get mine from autovaux tho because ive been dealing with them. And Due to the solids being cheaper i should be refunded a bit of money which can go towards the postage back to me.

It was recentley replaced only a few months ago ! friggin better not be the problem.
Im hoping when the engine rebuild is done it will fix all problems.

also i finished the aero wiper mod, i cut the rubber parts 1cm then used a hax saw to cut the metal by 1cm. then i moved the driver wiper arm back down a bit so now both wipers dont clip together anymore. and now will fix the dirver side one which was moved up as a temp fix, it wont stick halfway up the windscreen etc im well pleased !

Nope, girlfriend uses the other car for work etc. Ive booked off time from the 5th - 11th April, so all engine work needs completed by then !! il be working on it flat out with help from my mate. the most important step will be to remove engine and send it off to get skimmed ASAP as soon as its outa the car then just hope the rest goes smoothly. I think i have everything i need.

Got the car all cleaned up today, and cleaned the engine bay as best i could.
