Corsa SRi Project

Post by c16se corsa »

Right so ive never shared anyof my projects on here so i thought i would share this one

Droped on this beauty for peanuts lets say double figures! 8)

This is how it looked when i first got it the other day just as standard as you could get it 1993 sri

But what to do with it? i just had to buy it at that money i thought about breaking it and making a few squids but its just too good to break
so i though sod it i will spruce it up,

So anyway a few day went by and i thought what can i do to it........ so i decided on lowering it so i set about it and thought it just dont look right there is somthing missing, ten mins of head scratching i decided to give it some "camber" with all the current euro craze it was the "in thing" to do so this is how it looks now

Now im stuck what to do next do i bulid it up like me old one below

Or do i do somthing different, i would like to do the gsi look again but i feel like the look has been abused, the still look the dogs but meh somthing different i was thinking more irmsher airdam trying to keep it in the oem+ as they call it scene so as many original parts as possible

Any ideas going to update more as and when i get time to do it

It's serious camber :D I could have took it some more but then it would have looked silly and impractical

Trying to keep it as original as possible I did all the smoothing thing withy old one I flared and smoothed the back arches into the back bumper it's was just a nightmare if any deep dish were to go on it they would have to be either ronal tubos, ats cups or borbet a's but the borbets just will not fit the offset is too much so the arches will need mass work

the skirts are horrid might have been cool in the 90's but not now think they might be classed as jurassic, if i go the smooth road i might do the pvc pipe sills if youve ever seen it its not a common thing you just use the pipe to get your shape lets say cut it into just under quarters and bond it on and fill over to get the perfect round sill 8)
