Tyres and lowering

Im lowering my car 60mm tomorrow can't wait, but I got 7J wheels on the rear, and think they will rub as I got 195/50 15s, what other tyre will be good as I was think 175/50 15s?

What offset is are the wheels?

Will it say the off set on the wheels?

Should say on the inside of one like ET 49 (that's what mine say)

My wheels are scraping the wheel arch I think I need new shocks an tyres

Its not the tyres mate
You can either widen the arches
Or get some other wheels with less offset
T reg 1.0 12V corsa b called...Mikey!! :lol:

Alloys cost £800 so not getting rid of them, what about better shocks? I could only afford the springs

It's not to do with your suspension... It's to do with the width of your wheels and the amount you have lowered... You can go 40 without the scraping problem I would have thought but 60 without the correct offset wheels will scrape

Aw ok was thinking 40 but wanted to drop it as much as I could
