Re: Corsa SRi Project
Another update
Got bored yet again yesturday and decided to make a bb bonnet its a must
So i started by making the templates and transfering them to peice of steel and cut them out
Sat them in place to be sure they fitted witin reason
Ground the lip off the first and second skin of the bonnet slotted the steel in and tacked them into place
I then refitted the bonnet to make sure it closed properly and to get the shape right before i fully welded in the plate
It was pretty much perfect so i welded it up the smothed it back down
Then come the messy part the first skim of fiberglass
The weather over my end was brill yesturday so it was all going off like a dream
So along came the filler
Whilst i was wating for the filler to go off i decided to do somthing with the horrid grey arches and bumper
This is the difference
So anyway the temprature started to fall quite fast and so did the sun so the filler was taking quite some time to go off i could have just put some more hardner in but i didnt want if going off when i was putting it on!
So by the time i had finished getting its shape and getting all the imperfections out with some stopper it was dark so from now the pictures are s*^#t
Anyway so along came the paint
And the finished product.......not that you can see much
Try get some better pics for tonight

Re: Corsa SRi Project
i put it between the skins the bottom corner of the bonnet was a tad rotted so there was nowhere for it to go, the last one i did was 5 year ago on my old one and it took me ages to get the shape right took the royal *?%&*nath2905 wrote:i did that guide Gaz, its in the FAQ, then modified section, have a bash at it, then take it body shop be painted
