Re: Corsa SRi Project
Well its not far off done now in regards to the carbs ect
Got the dizzy whaped on and wired up today and set the ign timing up, set its at around 23 degrees advance
Needed to make a vaccum takeoff for the advance retard on the dizzy so i got a bolt out of a injector rail from a 20xe and drilled the center out
Then tapped a hole in the manifold and sent her home with a bit of ptfe tape
Used a air/fuel guage on the lambda sensor and set the air screws so it was just hovering optimal/rich
Then mounted it in the car so i could keep a keen eye on it to see what it was doing dont want it running too lean and pink because it=melted pistons
Took it out for a drive but it wasnt very good it really hesitated under load so back to the garage for anothe turn of the dizzy and a tweak on the air screws sorted it out and i must say for a 1.4 it goes like joe f**k its still not 100% but its good enough for now
Also i thought i would free up so ponies........good bye god forsaken catalytic convertor
But i couldnt just stop there weve just got a new pipe bender....side exit? yes please pics of that tomorrow!
