why whats wrong with the spoiler? what was wrong with giving it a light sand down with some wet and dry, base coat it, and then top coat it?

It was a night made mate I gave it a light sand ad the primer went on beautiful but only put 2 thin layers (think that's where I went wrong) any way I applied my black coat and the original paint must have been celulas based and my paint was acrylic so I think that's why it reacted like Image

I been sanding for 23 hours in total and finally ready for paint.

It was a right pain to strip back off. And worse of all the paint went on quicker n thicker then wanted so it built up fast.

I just gonna use about 10 layers of primer just to be safe :P

I was going black and blue to break up the colour abit I'm still not happy with the finish. After aplying the primer I've noticed some small dimples in it, can't feel them but the shade on the paint makes it noticeable. So I'm going to order some of that and then carry on lol. Im going to take is slow this time and try and get best possible finish.

Nice,

i wana re-do my wiper arms and use more primer layers then add a few more matt layers. as my wiper arms have started to chip paint and rust a bit.
And if i can get them cheap enough i wouldnt mind picking up a standard wheel arch trim so i can practice sanding out the texture, prime and colour coat it.
a good one to try and get might be the boot lock surround do a good job on it and just do a direct replacment.

Yeah wiper arms are what I wanna doo too, the door handles and arch trim I want to leave but get lint seed oil because it's better then back to black (apparently) lol.

Bastard spoiler reacted slightly again with top coat. Begin ing to think its contaminated. It had loads of thin layers of primer and was great but it's the top coat every time.

Gonna have a word with jawel paints n see what they say.

It might be to paint reacting to the primer... Bad mix of paint or something
