Hi all wonder if you could help my car wont start sometimes you can turn the key all the dash lights and everything else work as normal but when you go to turn it over it wont start i mean you turn the key and nothing the engine dont even attempt to make any sound at all but then after a few turns of the key it would start. now last night i went to start my car and it did the same thing nothing it not even clicking or turning over when i turn the key tryed it a few times still nothing so my dad gave me a push and it fired up straight away then after that started fine all night i was thinking starter motor but it only had a new one on last year and only done 20 odd thousand on it you dont think it could be the starter again could it. i did have the positive battery cable of though a couple of weeks ago and lost the nut to tight the positive connection up so i pinched the nut of my dads car as its one he not using and that worked and didnt give me any problems then a week or to later this happens i have checked the connection and its solid so dont know what it is thanks.

Could be ignition switch when it plays up next keep the key turned and move it around see if it works

matty do you know if them switches are easy to fit and how do you get to it cheers
