subwoofer not sure what AMP is needed

Hi i jus got 2 500 watt splx subs buil into an enclosure and i need an amp i found 1 on amazon for £40 a 2channel amp 500w is that the 1 i would need or a more powerful 1 as i have 6x9's in the back ? unsure new to having a sub and amp need help most appreciated can any 1 recommend a size amp or ? ebay link ? thanks

you don't that amp mate. you want the amps to be more power then the speakers. if its 2 channel 500w peak then you wont get the potentional out of your subs. and if i were you i would buy a monoblock (1 channel) and bridge the speakers together. i picked up a 2800w amp for my boot build on ebay for 200quid and it was a vibe monoblock and there 800quid new. have a look at my project log and i have the pictures on there....
