Hi there Guys
first time posting just looking for a bit of help really i have a corsa b 1.0 12v on inspecting the engine bay today i found a cable with a spade connector on it which i have no idea where it has come from it doesn't appear to be affecting the car although i don't think my temperature gauge is working which is my second question am i right in thinking the red ringed nut in the following picture is the temperature switch? if so does it need a wire coming out of it? could the lose cable come from there? thanks in advance!
(red = temperature switch?)
(yellow = loose cable)

Re: Random Wire?
yes mate thats just the temperature sensor which puts the indication onto your dashboard, just shove that connector back onto it. or has it broke off? in which case theirs not much you can do, you COULD replace it, or just leave it... its totally down to you.

Re: Random Wire?
Hi
Thanks for the reply! I cant see how it would connect to the sensor? The wire has a spade type connector on it and the sensor is just flat on the top would I need to replace the spade connector with a different type or if I changed the sensor would it have the spade terminal on it?

U have to push the bottom of the grill in towards the car. There are clips along the bottom.
