Please help, I can't see how you time the ignition on this 1.4 8 Valve 'castle top' engine??

I have a digital adjustable strobe light but does it make a difference? Does the twisting of the distributor not just get compensated by the ecu?

I am writing a nice guide on installing a computer neatly and original looking if anyone is interested and also addressing the multi display unit for maybe displaying phone number of incoming calls or messages about car.
