Insured as a 2 litre now! Got good price with flux at £1030 happy days..... Got Gaz coilovers on the front now, not too impressed yet tbf, but they not done proper yet as top mounts bearings are seized so need new them and need set them up right n get camber n tracking set.. I'll judge them when they are setup perfectly

Fitted rear coilovers today, love them! Didn't have to dent in arch either like most do so that's a winner! Ride is so much better now, I've set it up nicely for comfort on road! Smooth ride now love it, well worth the money :)

nice, dare i ask where did you get them from and how much they set you back? as i could do with stiffer front suspension for mine...

Guy on corsa sport sells them £460 delivered! There loads better than what I had before and I haven't even got them right yet as top mount bearing are seized and traking miles out! But can already feel difference massively compared to rubbish I had before :)

£400+ is a bit much for me to spend on a set of coils, but i think i need a new set of suspension as im sick to death of driving over ramps with some shopping in the back seat and it hiting off the rear axel. i had 2 springs replace not that long ago !

Nahh my ride is really smooth now, they got adjustable dampers, so I've set them to soft! Can hardly feel bumps in roads now! Front is abit stiff to back thou, that's probs due to weight of engine! And yeah using standard top mounts, just need some new ones really then tracked n camber set n good to go :)

scorpiotn1 you get what you pay for, cheap is ok and will do the job, but when you'v got an XE under the bonnet you need something decent to hold you to the road and make it a stiffer but softer ride. due to the extra weight of the engine.

what would you recommend for mine pricer ? looking for a balance between quality and price, something that might make it firm and feel a bit better going over ramps without it feeling like my ass fell out lol

i dont think theres much point me spending big money on suspension when i only have my wee 1.2 - X12XE

Advice welcomed

Just cheap shocks and springs will fit and be fine that's what I had on my 1.2, you can pick them up real cheap second hand. If you want just springs get -40mm but if you want springs and shocks get -60.

Was on 60mm drop before, with these I kept rear about the same and made front about 20mm higher! I'm just going to lower them back down only for shows etc..

yeah fair enough, redtops are best kept abit higher. they look better and the weight of the engine too
