carb cleaning
Hi all,
How do i get to carb to clean it out? cause apparently i need to because of my car idling.
any help given would be great.

You need to remobe the plastic over located at the back of the engine in the middle, trace back from the air box to be sure. remove this, under is the TB plate, clean the inside, then open it up and clean the sides where the TB plate sits when it\'s shut.
Also on the TB housing there will be the idle control valve, this ideal needs to be removed, cleaned and then lubed with some WD40, reinstalled pulgged back in.
put all back together and it should be better.

yep so did i! i have to spray carb cleaner in my butterfly every now and then, it dont look that dirty really. but makes a difference. vroom!!!! when i pull up at lights and it dies, thats when i know its time to clean it out

mines injection. i cleaned mt throttle body out the other day, it was poo right up lol, the revs are sound now. nice and low. what other parts are there to clean to keep it running tidy

where abouts is the throttle body? does it really make a difference mate?
have you got a pic of where it is as well.

urm do you know where the throttle cable is, if so its connected to a disc thing, and just up abit is a plastic cover which is the intake from the air box, just undo the three bolts ontop and it shout come off, but u need to disconnect the cable. My engine is a 1 ltr though so its probs differnt unless u got same engine

aint got none sorry mate, have you got a haynes manual, it should tell u everything in there.
