Post by wo88les »

Been searching everywhere and cant find anything so here goes

How the hell do i remove the MFD???
i read online that you have to push the vents to the floor and loosen screws, mine doesnt leave a gap and i cant see any screw, could someone please post up a video showing me where all the screws are and where i need to put pressure??? i really dont want to break the vents but how do i pop them out/down

Thanks

Point the vents down then get a flat screwdriver and prise them down further it might feel like there goin to break but they wont
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

ok got the mfd out :D thanks Johnny...

Cables all fine at the back, MFD unit seems in mint condition, but im guessing this could be where the fault is coming from. the reason being, when i plugged it back in it reset the date and time, the date when reset shows 2002, i would have thought in a 2000 car it would have reset to 2000 or 1999, so either with it being newer than the car, that could cause the fault or it may just be the sensor behind the grille, i unclipped it and theres nothing i can see really, plugged it back in and the temp showed 70c for a few seconds then went back to --.-c

i see a new one is £12 on eBay but would rather find a second hand one which works if possible
