Yeah thought about changing the plugs and leads first be for looking at the cool pack and EGR valve, my mate owns a gsi and he said its better to replace the EGR instead of blanking it off.
Going to have my mrs neighbour look at it he's been a mechanic for years so see what his diagnostics is.

It depends on preference really egr valves always fail and they only take gases from the manifold and put them back into the engine and cost a fair bit to replace but blanking it gives a cleaner engine will sorting the problem once and for all

Ok little update on the missing
its had a comp test its all good but still might be something to do with injectors not doing there job as it needs to be mapped....
So be for I have it mapped can anyone suggest anything els?.

Why put in uprated injectors before you where ready to get it mapped? Did it start missing just after they where fitted?

I don't know if it has them but if it does I didn't fit them they put in by the guy who owned it precious to my mate.
